Overlook Farm

We stayed at the bridal cottage in July 2024. It was a great experience! The view was awesome! Natalie, the owner, is super kind and welcoming!! There’s a coffee shop and bar in town with a view of the river. If you eat at the bar, get the burger. However, the move is to stay at the cottage with a bottle of wine and pizza in the oven. Read a book outside and enjoy the view. Use the binoculars from the bookshelf to view wildlife and scenery. There’s also a private hot tub, and Roku TV/dvd player/movies. I have a couple of updates to past Google commenters: 1. Hard boiled eggs are now included with breakfast. 2. There were no spiders/insects inside the bridal cottage Summary: Overlook Farms is only about an hour from St. Louis. You can take hwy 79 or 40/61 to get there. It’s a great opportunity to unwind and recharge. We will be back!

I'm a professional wedding photographer. And I had the pleasure of working with Katie at overlook farms yesterday, where do I even begin? These guys go above and beyond.. from running out last minute to get bug spray to catering to our brides and grooms every need. We are in this business to create art and wow these grounds definitely inspired.. I only recommend the best in the business, and I give Overlook Farm and Katie 5 stars, if I could give 6 I would! Check them out for a relaxing stay, wedding, or photography location - or all three!! These guys are amazing! Thank you for all your hard work yesterday Katie.. It was a pleasure working with you :)

This is a beautiful place! The accommodations at. The Rathcliff are lovely and the staff are great! Natalie is wonderful very down to earth! Attended a wedding at Avalon Hall and was left speechless! Reminiscent of a castles grand hall.... From the high ceiling to the gorgeous fireplace! I'm in love!! I highly recommend! 5 stars are not enough!

We stayed in the rackheath house and it was amazing! There are many common areas where you can hang out inside and outside of the house. The jacuzzi tubs are amazing and the robes and bubble bath are a nice touch. We will definitely be back and recommend it to anyone that is looking for a romantic getaway!

A gorgeous, quiet place to go and get away from the city. They have really tasty wood-fired pizza and I had an amazing watermelon margarita once. It is also cool to go and watch the eagles or the lock and dam.

First time staying at the lodge. It was beautiful. Lukily no one else booked so we had the whole place to ourselves, hot tub and all. Gorgeous secluded property. Everyone we spoke with was very nice.

My fiancé and I stopped by The Courtyard for brunch on a Saturday while headed up to Hannibal. The service was good but felt a tad underwhelming considering we were pretty much the only ones there. The food was very good and my fiancé LOVED the fresh fruit on the French toast. For the serving sizes you get the prices seem high but considering that is it all on-farm or local ingredients it is understandable. The seating and view is gorgeous and I can only imagine it is twice as beautiful at night with all the lighting. If you're traveling up or down highway 79, it may not be the most economical food stop. But it's one you'll not forget.

Great venue with amazing scenery!!! Not only was the staff helpful to a #wedding vendor, but they also took care of the bride and groom and all of their guests! It was an honor to serve as a #WeddingDJ at their venue! There coordinator was easy to work with. The food was top notch too! You won't be let down!
